It's been a LONG time!

Wow so now it's December and I haven't posted on here since July...I think it's safe to say life has been super busy since Jude has entered it! Each day I am amazed that God gave us such a wonderful gift! It's hard to believe that just over 6 months ago this precious boy was still in my belly and Jared and I had no idea what we were in for.  We have learned so many things over the past 6 months.
One thing we have learned a little more is how much our God loves us.  It's cool God gives us a glimpse of how much he loves us by giving us children.  Of course, we will never know fully but here on earth my heart is full!
Another thing we have learned is patience! Wow is it difficult when those nights come and sleep is very little and the day comes and naps seem non existent! At those moments I pray that God will calm my spirit and give me the tools I need to be the best mom for Jude.

Jude's Development
I think we have the most smiley boy in the whole world.  I get comments all the time on how happy (and cute) he is! Jude LOVES people. He has such a great personality and lights up people's days!
Jude is now eating baby food two times a day.  Some of his favorite things to eat are: carrots, squash, peas and green beans.
Jude is now a good sitter.  He began sitting about 1 1/2 months ago but now he is pretty independent.  He has also begun the journey of crawling.  For about 4 weeks now he has been up his hands and knees and each day he gets closer to crawling.  I know that when that day comes I am SO in trouble because he loves to explore!
Jude is also a talker! He loves to make noises, laugh and babble.  He is going to be a talker like his Uncle Ken!
As far as sleep goes, for now he is taking 2 long naps (about 1 1/2 hrs) and a short nap to help him get to bed time.  He usually gets a bath around 7p.m. and goes to bed at 8 p.m.  He usually can make it till 6:30 a.m. and then I try to hold off feeding him till 7 a.m. I am hoping one day he'll get the hint and sleep till 7! He is a great eater and I am still nursing.  I pray I will be able to do it for much longer!
His breathing has gotten much better but he still breathes rapidly sometimes. Nothing was ever found to be wrong with our son so Jared and I try to remember that our God is a healer and took care of our little boy!
Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for baby Jude.  He is the love of our lives!

After a long week..

Jude's second week of life proved to be a stressful one! We were too quickly back in the hospital.  Jude's breathing was too fast and we were worried about him so Dr. Blanton (his pediatrician) decided it would be best if we admitted him into the hospital.  We were pretty worried but prayed that God would keep our little man safe.  After a million tests, we left the hospital where we started except for knowing that Jude's heart, lungs, and other major organs were in great working order.  We felt a huge weight lifted off and felt blessed Jude was a healthy little boy.  We still have the breathing problem and we are continuing to pray that God will heal Jude of this.  Here are some videos and pictures we took when Jude was about 18 days old.  He's getting to be a big big boy. At 14 days he weighed 7.99 pounds.  He exceeded his 7 pound birth weight in record time! The doctor was really impressed! He is a great eater and a great baby.  We are truly grateful for the joy Jude has brought into our lives. God has truly blessed our family with him, I am so in love with him.

37 and 1/2 weeks! Oh my goodness!!!!

So "The Time" is almost here! I've decided the hard thing about this time of pregnancy is the ability for labor to start today or wait for 4 more weeks! The hard thing for me is the planning issue.  I wouldn't mind waking up at 1 a.m. in labor if i knew okay... on this day at this time I will begin labor.  But, it is not so.  The ability to not plan kind of kills me!!! But alas there is nothing I can do about it so I try to wait patiently for my little boy to show up!
Jared is so excited to meet Jude but I know he is nervous about the actual birth part. He might kill me for posting this...but when we went on the tour of the hospital I think it freaked him out.  We'll just leave it at that. I know he will do an excellent job as a dad, we just need to get him through the labor part! :)
To all our friends and family, we cannot wait to see you again and cannot wait for you to meet Jude Wilson Kirk.
Here is a picture from week 37.
We have a couple videos but I cannot figure out how to load them at the moment, so maybe I can figure that out soon!

33 weeks

So I am almost 34 weeks now.  Everything was fine from my Glucose Test.  I start going to the doctor every 2 weeks now.  Continue to pray that Jude grows and is born on time.  Jared and I pray for him everyday and we hope you do too!
This week is Spring Break and I have enjoyed myself a lot! It makes me excited to know that I will be at home with Jude soon! I took some pictures of me at 33 weeks and then I took some of the changing table and crib Jared and I put together.  The room is not finished but it is getting there.

This boy already has a ton of shoes!

30 Weeks!

Wow! Only 10 more weeks until we meet our precious Jude.  We are so excited (and a bit nervous)! Last week we had the baby shower at the church and got some amazing gifts.  Also, my family and Jared's family has blessed us with so many wonderful gifts.  Thank you so much! Here are some pictures from the shower.  It was amazing and perfect.  I have such wonderful friends that put it on for me!
I went to the doctor last Monday for my glucose test, all seems well.  Jude's heartbeat is great and he's been moving around a ton! All the time I feel body parts sticking out of me, it's amazing to think he still has 10 weeks to grow with such little space!
The cake my friend Kirsten made! She's talented!
An owl hat from Samantha, she'll be using this for Jude's photo shoots!

These are the ladies at church that are pregnant (minus 2)! So many babies!
My beautiful mommy, so glad she was able to come for the shower!
 Cake topper!
The brown letters were made by Kirsten and will go in Jude's room, so excited to get it done in our new house.
The song "Hey Jude" with all the baby shower attendees that signed the leaves.
 Party favors.
And the wonderful photo board Kirsten made for Jude's room, he's going to have one cool place to sleep.
And here is my belly at 30 weeks! No hiding it now!

26 Weeks

Hello! I am now 26 weeks, almost in to my third trimester! I can't believe it. On March 17th we are closing on a new house and then two days later we are having Jude's baby shower.  This is an exciting and stressful time! We have so much to do!  We try and pack a couple of boxes each night so that it isn't done all at once. Here are a couple of pictures I took over the past couple of days.

24 weeks!

Sorry it has been so long since I have been on here. Life has been crazy busy! Jared is working a ton and going to school while things at Rock Rest are just now slowing down. I am feeling great and we are super excited to be having a boy! I can't believe we are going to have a little Jared running around. We have for sure settled on a first name of Jude but are currently working on a middle name.  We honestly haven't had the time to sit down and finally decide.  I am going to post the last ultrasound pictures that were taken on January 24.  This is when we found out that we were having a boy.
Above is the heartbeat and the 4 chambers of the heart.
His profile.
One of my personal favorites, his precious foot.
Here is the money picture :) Jared didn't want to put this one on Facebook, I understand why... So here it is for close friends and family.
